Community-Based Participatory Research Learning Community (CBPR-LC)

In 2009, Drs. Hamel Lambert and Slovak (OU-Zanesville) initiated the CBPR Learning Community.  The curriculum for the Learning Community was designed to develop competencies in the skills needed to conduct community-based participatory research.  The CBPR-LC was originally designed as a mechanism to bring together community and university personnel with shared interests that could support a research agenda.  However, over time, it became evident that the learning community was better at supporting the work of existing partnerships than fostering new ones.  Currently, the CBPR-LC hosts three seminars per year with participation from faculty and staff from across campus.  To find out dates for the next CBPR-LC Seminar, contact us.
