Dr. Holly Raffle to present at O’Bleness on Delivering Healthcare to Women in Appalachia

Dr. Holly Raffle will present “The Role of Culture in Delivering Healthcare to Women in Ohio’s Appalachian Region” on Monday, December 16 from 12-1 at O’Bleness in Room 014.  CEUs are available for this presentation.

Program Objectives

1.    Describe how Appalachian values and the characteristics of generational poverty influence the decisions that women in Ohio’s Appalachian region make with regards to their health.

2.    Identify culturally competent strategies to enhance the effectiveness of health education initiatives aimed at reaching women in Ohio’s Appalachian region.
